After coming back hard into the rcing scene, Tony earned enough single A money to turn up after he won day 2 at Chula Vista today. I was talking to him prior to the main and he seemed pretty psyched knowing that he’d more thn likely be racing Elite in Orlando next month for the 3 day weekend of the Disney Cup. Watch out for a story on him up on ESPN in the next couple months…

I guess it’s only fitting that a local kid would win the race, Willoughby took Second followed by Strombergs in 3rd.

Missed a tornado in Brooklyn. Got delayed for 2 hours. Was surrounded by babies. Got a bunch of free drinks. Flew through a lightning storm. Successful travel night I guess.
Going to be updating throughout the weekend with random Chula Vista, Olympic Training Center, BMX Supercross and taco related things. The plan for today is to go meet up with some people at the track, get some stuff done that I’ve been slacking on. Shoot practice and the first set of time trials. Then head up to LA while editing photos and capturing video on the drive for a quick night. Expect to see some random photos and stuff throughout the weekend along with a SX and ABA Amateur gallery some time on Sunday as well as an ESPN writeup, gallery and video int he same time frame.

With go211 signing an exclusive agreement with the ABA, the NBL sort of got the shit end of the stick. They winged it and managed to get hooked up with iHigh.com Which sounds more like a bong supply shop than a high school sports web broadcast company… but it is just that. The NBL feed starts friday and is available here.
