Following int he footsteps of Jamie Staff, British rider Liam Phillips will be making the switch into the world of velodromes and track bikes. In a statement released by British Cycling, Phillips stated “Over the past few years, I’ve sustained numerous injuries which have left me unable to train on the BMX track for significant periods of time…. Turning to track has meant that I receive a solid block of training with opportunities to compete at a high level which means I’m not missing out on the competition experience.” For more info and the full release check out British Cycling.
It was a surprise to see a Diamond Back camp at the Winter National last month with none other than Nate Berkheimer manning the pit. Nate was one of the origonal “SX” dowl hill riders when it was int he Xgames and Vans Triple crown, this was his first race back in a few years, so I hit him up with some questions… check it out over on espn.com/action
