Al Roybal Interview.

Al Roybal is hands down one of the best MC’s in BMX racing and has alot of stupid (in the good way) stories to his name. The first time I hungout with him, he managed to get 2 random decent girls to go to dinner with our group of 9, and then proceeded to get smashed and make them both wish they had waited the extra 5 minutes for a table of their own. With that said, Al has a heart of gold and cares more about BMX than anyone else on the circuit. His travel buddy Nick Valencia posted up a little interview, check it out here. As soon as you click that link, scroll down to the bottom of the page and turn off the music.

Joey Albright Bike Check.

While in the upstate New york region shooting with Alaina Henderson for her cover of BMX Nation(note: we ended up reshooting in Brooklyn) I decided it would be a good idea to get together with Madera’s Joey Albright for a good ole bike check. check it out here on espn.com/action. That guy wouldn’t smile for a portrait.
The Next Sports Performance-Enhancement Fad? Blood Pressure Cuffs
I check out wired.com on a regular basis when I have down time at work… this article on performance is definitely worth taking a look at, check it out here, and judge by the excerpt below.
“In a study published this month in the journal Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise, a team led by Greg Wells and Andrew Redington at the the University of Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children, demonstrated that highly trained swimmers that used a blood pressure cuff to restrict blood flow to their arms a few minutes before maximum-effort time trials improved their performance in a 100-meter race by 0.7 seconds.”
