After being dropped from the GT program at the end of last season, and an injury at the ABA Grands, Joey has been MIA for a bit healing up and getting back to full health. There’s no word yet as to what team he’ll be riding for in 2011, but in this photo seen on his facebook page, it is pretty obvious that he’s changing things up in a big way and making the switch to a Prophecy carbon frame…
Sifiso Nhlapo posted his first update since undergoing knee surgery on skizo105.com Skizo is going to be forced to sitout the better half of the 2011 season, but his car sponsor Citroen hooked him up with some new wheels to make his life a little less painful for now. Watchout for Skizo to be commentating at the UCI Supercross Race in his home town of South Africa next month, and throw him questions @sifisonhlapo
It’s pretty creepy that with the way things are now, I will have this post up before Gavin is at the hospital. This photo was seen on his facebook not to long after watching him get wheeled off the track on a stretcher on Go211. I’ll steal his quote from facebook regarding his suspected injuries too “Can’t remember 2 much I’ll be fine. On the way to get xrays now.”
Lubbe got tangled up with thoffonline.com going into the first turn. It’s been a rough season for South Africa, let’s hope Gavin is just bruised and the Xrays come back clear.
Straight from the horses Fabebook, “X-rays back, no fracture thank God! Just bruised badly! Thanks everyone 4 the wishes”
Before he even got started on his American dream, Sifiso Nhlapo is on his way home with an injured ACL. Doctors say he will be off the bike for about 6 months. The injury happened in Guthre, he and Redlines Tory Nyhaug made contact, he unclipped and hyper extended his knee. From there it was alot of sitting and waiting before he received the final word that he would have to return to South Africa for surgery. Best wishes to Sifiso and a speedy recovery.
